Charles Knox Jr.
Co-Founder and President

charlesCharles E. Knox, Jr. is a founding Principal and current President of The Knox Group, Inc., a real estate development and brokerage firm. Charles was born in Charlotte in April 1964. He graduated from Davidson College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In addition, he completed further studies in Real Estate Finance and Development at the University of California at San Diego. He also holds a North Carolina Real Estate License.

Charles is a member and Board Member of the Charlotte Chapter of Young Entrepreneurs' Organization. He lives in Cornelius with his wife Colette and daughters Chloe and Carley.

In 1991, Charles moved back to Charlotte and co-founded The Knox Group with his father Charles Sr. The company specializes in the metro area north of Charlotte, providing site acquisition, development and management services. Charles has primary responsibility for day to day management of the company and all projects under development. In addition, he represents the Town of Cornelius and several private clients as their real estate representative.

Charles served on the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 1996 through 2001. He was the Chamber's Vice President of Transportation and Economic Development in 1997 & 1998, Vice Chairman in 1999 and served as its Chairman in 2000. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee of the Chamber. He has represented the Chamber on the Business Committee for Regional Transportation Solutions for the last five years. He co-chairedHe formerly served on the Huntersville-Cornelius Economic Development Committee and the Davidson Economic Development Committee. He currently serves on the Business Committee for Regional Transportation Solutions and the Tri-Chamber (Lake Norman, Cabarrus Regional, & Lincolnton-Lincoln County) Highway 73 Coalition.
