The Knox Group was created in 1991 to pursue opportunities in the Charlotte region in the field of commercial real estate. Founded by father and son, Charles E. Knox and Charles E. Knox, Jr., the firm specialized in the early years on commercial development. Notable projects include the North 77 Business Park, Birkdale Patio Homes and Keebler Company Distribution Center. While developing and brokering throughout the Charlotte region, the firm created a special focus on providing the growing North Mecklenburg/Lake Norman area with a firm committed to commercial and industrial real estate.

Steven R. Knox joined the firm as a principal in 1995 to expand the firms brokerage operation and particularly its expertise in the office and industrial segments of the market. Steve has over sixteen years of leasing and sales experience and now heads the brokerage operation.

The firm has represented a variety of clients from small start-up firms to Fortune 500 companies. The company firmly believes that all clients should receive service and attention exceeding their expectations.
